Nathan PictureNathan's career in the motel/hotel industry began as he attended college at Saint John's University. While at the University, he began an internship with ETC Enterprises, Inc., in the Management Division. Throughout this time, he assisted in various operational projects for the 16 properties under management. He helped implement quality assurance measures with each property, and worked with each manager on a daily basis.

Upon completion of the internship with ETC Management, Nathan accepted a full-time position as the General Manager of the Country Inn of Hastings, Minnesota. As General Manager, he was in charge of managing the property as well as overseeing the ballroom and catered events. After six months of success, Nathan was asked to relocate to the Comfort Suites Motel, located in Ramsey, Minnesota, where he remained for three years. During his second year of operation, he produced record numbers and near perfect scores on Quality Assurance Evaluations. Nathan was named General Manager of the Year for his efforts that second year, as he achieved very high revenues and net operating profits for this property. Nathan was promoted to District Manager on January 1, 2002. In this position, he was responsible for the management and operation of several motel properties within ETC Management. His responsibilities included financial statement reviews, preparing annual budgets, Quality Assurance Evaluations, marketing plans and owner's meetings.

On November 1, 2002, Nathan was promoted to Director of Operations for ETC Management. Nathan's current role is to oversee all General Managers within the Management Company. His responsibilities include recruiting, hiring and training of new General Managers, as well as preparing annual budgets and business plans and reporting to ownership groups. He also has an active role in facilitating new property openings.
